Always being in the habit of thinking up storylines for strangers he saw in photographs, Gaurav wondered if there were people out there who shared his quirk. It wasn‘t long after that MyPiction was conceived, amidst the growing popularity of social media and our propensity for "bite-sized" content.Gaurav created this site to nurture a community of writers and develop a tool that will encourage people to cultivate the habit of writing regularly. He hopes the pictures will serve as effective visual aids and the limit of 700 characters will make it less onerous to commit to writing.
In his spare time Gaurav can be found writing on his blog, discussing cinema with his film club, twittering feverishly and crafting pictions of course. Gaurav has worked and lived in eight cities (Ann Arbor, San Mateo, Mumbai, Bangalore, London, Prague, Los Angeles, New York City) over the last seven years and is finally back in India trying to establish himself as a filmmaker in Mumbai. He has a BA from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor where he double majored in Economics and Film (Class of ‘06).
